More than a century has passed since that wonderful day when L. Frank Baum
discovered the legendary Land of Oz and wrote of its existance for all the children of the world.
During the ensuing years, Mother Earth has witnessed Mankind’s embrace of Oz and all it represents. The children of the world eagerly awaited as each new tale of wonder and fantasy burst forth from the pen of the Royal Historian
With the passing of The Royal Historian of Oz, several others have taken up the call to chronicle the World of Oz and its many wonders and unique characters.
Recently, I found myself standing before the Great Gates of the Emerald City and wondering how I had arrived and why I had been brought to this magical land of fantasy.
It was Princess Ozma herself who brought me to this strange and wonderful place full of strange and wonderful things. She spoke to me of her life and the many years of her rule in Oz. She spoke of family and friends, of love and
friendship, of happiness and joy. She spoke of the many years she has watched lovingly over the children of the Outside.
It is their wonderment and joy for which the young Ruler of Oz commanded that I return to the Outside as her Royal Liaison and write the newest tale of her Royal Magician and his struggles against Evil and Tyranny in the Land of Oz.
Now, more than a hundred years later, a new tale of love and friendship, loyalty and courage awaits the great grandchildren of those verychildren who read the original tales of Oz.
May the World of Oz live forever in our minds and in our hearts and may the children of Mother Earth never forget the lessons that Princess Ozma has to offer.
